Dunking directly in PFJs

While researching the dunk tek I have seen a few people mention that they dunked directly in their 100% colonized jars after spooning away the top layer of dry V.
Is there any good reason not to do this with ball 1/2p WM PFJs?
Is there a set ratio of spring water to h2o2? I plan on creating a solution just before I add into the jars.
Thanks ghost

its a great way to do it
have an extra set of lids on hand that you haven't punched holes in so you can seal it shut and flip the jar upside down if you want without leaking.
h2o2 isn't totally necessary, i have gone without many many times without problem, but sometimes use it on later flushes after cakes have been hanging around in the "open" a while for a little extra peace of mind... mix about 10% h2o2 to 90% water (don't even need spring water either, tap is fine)... doesn't need to be exact but don't go nuts with the h2o2 either.

I don't even use h2o2 while dunking-just make sure its done in the fridge and you'll be fine... it takes a lot more than you'd think for contams to overrun a fully colonized cake.
I use the same jars that the cakes where birthed from (cleaned of course).
I have heard of many different ways you can submerge the entire cake (unfortunately they float), you can get an obstacle in between the cake and the lid, or what I find easiest, is just fill a sink with tap water, and submerge the jars (the jar lids have the inoculation holes already, so they can be filled to the brim with water).

yup on the floating... i just work over a towel, fill the jar most of the way til the cake floats, put a clean lid on top and force the cake down, screw it tight... a little water will spill out (hence the towel to soak it up) and voila, the jar is totally filled

Awesome.
Save the h2o2 for the PMP perlite and h2o solution, eh?
Also, rather than start a new thread, any objections to using Press N Seal for the light source in a chamber? The thinking was a hole could be cut out of the lid and Press N Seal could go on both the interior and exterior. Of course, alcohol rubdown of the interior would be in order anyways, so... Would help make the poor man, well, less poor =)
EDIT: Press N Seal is saran wrap on steroids http://tst.glad.com/pressnseal/about.html

It is pretty fucking rad. I use it all the time for food. I actually just read the FAQ and can probably answer my own Q
Quote:The sealing actually works with the help of the primary ingredients typically found in chewing gum – an old idea now applied to wrap! These ingredients have been approved by the FDA for over thirty five years and are frequently used for labels found on fruits and vegetables. Griptex® technology allows Glad Press 'n Seal™ wrap to seal to plastic, paper, Styrofoam® containers, metal, wood and many other surfaces.
