Possible Cube?

I was driving down a country road today with cow pastures all around and saw these by the road. I'm in Southeast Louisiana. I just started hunting, so I'm not 100% sure if these are cubes. Their caps definitely look like it to me, and the spore print is dark purple almost black, but I didn't see any poop around where I picked them.
Habitat: along a country back road along side a cow pasture. They were growing amongst leaves.
Gills: When I picked them they were lightish pinkish brownish, but since getting them home and doing a spore print, they are dark purple.
Stem: White with white veil present, stem isn't hollow and *slightly* enlarges at the base.
Spore print: purplish-black
Bruising: As you can see, the stems have bruised to a purplish-red.
Location: Southeast Louisiana

The pics aren't too convincing here.
Was there any blue bruising on the stems or caps?
You said purple brown print - are you sure that it wasn't black or something else?
I don't see any veil remnants on those broken looking stems, also no blue bruising.
So far, I would doubt that they are cubes.

Yeah, I'm not too sure either. When I picked them, the veil was white but I thought it was maybe because spores hadn't dropped yet?
Any idea what they are? The spore print is faint enough that I might have been too hasty in saying purplish-black. It may be black. Hope that helps.

Based on your description of pinkish gills and possibly a brown spore(?), it could be some type of agaricus. Let thet print sit for 6-12 hours. Like Eris said, it really doesn't look or read like a cube, and the habitat isn't quite right. Show us a (non-blurry) pic of the gills.

Not cubes. Look in the actual cow fields.

CureCat, you're absolutely right. I google image searched agaricus and it looked exactly like what I had picked. Thanks!
