Wild/field cubes question

I am going to try to grow, from some of the local wild cubes again. Last time It took me forever to get a clean print.
This time I let the spores drop for 8-9 hours (hoping that any random contams would drop) then i put some foil under the caps and let the spores drop for about 18 hours.
Do y'all think that is a good Idea, or will the spores still be contaminated??

Should just isolate them with agar, but you may have a better success rate, yes.

how are you collecting the caps?
try using some Ziplock containers...
I like the larger longer size than the one that I posted above.
Just put a strip of alum foil in the bottom of the container... wipe the alum foil with some alcohol with a cotton ball. The put the lid on... and take it with you when your out collecting wild samples.
And it might be a good idea to double print the cap... and take the 2nd print over the 1st.
I can double print almost any cap using these containers.
and yes agar work would be better.

I did use a lidded container. Wasnt the Ziplock kind but very similar.
I did the 2 print thing. Keeping the second print, hoping it would be cleaner than the first, and threw the first print away.
If this doesnt work I may try cloning some of them.

cloning might be a good alternative.
