today i went for a walk with a friend of mine, not really looking for anything. walking down a forrest near my house, we stumbled on some cow shit. there was a single skin-colored mushroom growing on it. i ould have left it there but it seemed as if it was drying. i just want to know if its an active one cause i know its gonna be raining the next couple of days and there was a lot of cow shit in the area. i had my camera but, as you'll see, i can't focus if my life depended on it. i'm guessing it's a young mushroom not fully developed. the cap was taller than it was wider. about 1.5-2 cm tall and maybe 1 or 1.5 cm in diameter. the gills look separated but not too much, and the spores look dark maybe black. i just looked at the spore print and they are definitely black or some really dark gray but i think they are black. the stem is solid, long. maybe 8 or 9 cm. again. i believe it's not fully developed. it has no particular smell and i don't really want to taste it until i know what it is. if you need anymore details just ask. crossing my fingers...

sorry for the out of focus images but i suck at taking pictures.

Looks like an inactive Panaeolus species. Doesn't look like there is any blue bruising to it. Where do you live?

I would have to agree with xmush on this one.
Are the the mushrooms in all of your pictures the same species. It's hard to tell because they are blurry.

yep, they're all the same species, wasn't really looking for anything but figured what the hell, i won't loose anything for finding out what they are. sorry for the pics, but cameras and i aren't compatible, guess i should have let my friend take the pics right (i swear the pics looked good on the cams little screen). anyway, i live in honduras in central america rain season has begun so i think i might go looking for some mushrooms on weekends. i'm not really in any rush to find active ones cause i'm still learning about them. ok i've got another question: on sunday i went to national park just for a walk. and i saw lots and lots of different types of mushrooms. i was just wondering what, if any, kind of active mushrooms i can find on a rainforest. the weather is quite cool, not very many pine trees and most mushrooms were growing on dead leaves and wood. i saw some shrooms that i could swear i had already seen on this site but can't remember exactly the name. i did see some brown mushroom that wasn't ver tall, maybe 10cm, but the cap was huge, it was bigger then my hand in diameter and i have pretty big hands. never thought mushrooms could get that big. anyway, if you can maybe tell me what types i'm likely to find it would be cool.
