Still air glove box

I've been using a still air glove box recently. I'm absolutely enjoying it, minus the gloves, but I have skinny arms so what can I do...
Anyways, I have had about 3/50 plates and/or jars contaminate while using the box, due to not being as careful inside as I should and taking too much time. But I was wondering if placing a thin wire rack, maybe 1/2-1" tall with squares about 1" squared would make for a better base with less resting contaminants as opposed to working directly on the surface of the box where contaminants rest.

Spray the bottom with lysol and you won't have a problem. Lysol leaves a residue that will keep the surface sterile for days.

I only use alcohol, soap, and water...well, and oust for the air. No direct surface cleaners with oils. Thanks for the reply, though.
I once tried using paper towels soaked in alcohol after cleaning the bottom, but it was too dificult to work with due to the shape/size.

You want your petri dishes off the bottom when you open them. Jars are tall enough not to matter. For petris, just keep them in a stack and only open the top one. I only use soap and water in my gloveboxes and after cleaning, leave the floor damp. This helps to hold down anything that might settle there.
A rack is a good idea too. I use one in front of the flowhood when working with petris to get them into the middle of the flow, so I have laminar flow under the dishes as well as around and over them. RR

ok. Usually I set the petris either on the stack or, if working with jars as well, on the tops of the jars. But my gb is somewhat small and uncomfortable to use, so things sometimes go awry.
Never thought of leaving the bottom damp...I might try that before I buy/make a rack.
Thanks
