Tarptent Virga 2 ultra light shelter

Packs down to 17 x 4 x 3, wieghs 22 ounces and uses 4 steaks and hiking poles for support. I'm ordering one as we speak with a floor sewn into it so I won't be worrying about bugs any more. 175$ + 35$ floor. http://www.tarptent.com/products.html
I'm diving underneath 10lbs of gear for my spring-summer-fall gear set up.

Tarptents are nice
I'm thinking of getting a hennessy hammock for the summer/spring/fall.... what was the word on the trail from people who have those? Love/Hate? Pros/Cons?
I love the idea of being able to string up wherever there's some trees, only problems arise in fields and such.. but I usually don't camp in fields unless at a festival or something. But word is you can set them up on the ground like a tarptent only using hiking poles and the rope and two stakes.. Plus the bonus of not being on the ground.. not having to worry about water pooling.. no worry about finding flat ground...laying on sticks and rocks.. tearing the bottom out, etc.. The only major downside I see is in cooler weather, you need an underquilt for the bottom so you don't freeze.. but other than that they seem like pure gravy. I took a nap in one once and it was comfortable as hell.. I slept good.

Though I may just opt for a tarptent or a really lightweight tent just for the universal use

I hear nothing but good things about these and the eagles nest. The eagles nests tarp is insane, I wouldn't want to tie that damn thing off in the rain but other than that it seems pretty slick. Personally, I'd go with the hennessee for sure, I'll probably end up owning one before long.
The only down side I've heard anything about is the unexpected cold nights. Most hikers I know didn't carry under quilts due to their price and trade it out for the tent in the winter.

I decided against this tent at the last minute before completing my order and I just purchased the HENNESSY ULTRALITE BACKPACKER A-SYM HAMMOCK. Due to it being cheaper and lighter than the above tent.

Dude this thing is so bad ass. I finally got to use it. I can make it into a chair, http://www.hennessyhammock.com/use-as-a-chair.htm This is like the best thing ever. I might even find an under quilt for it so I can use it year round. This thing just made hiking so much better.
