Lying quart jars sideways
    #583819 - 03/20/02 12:00 AM (23 years, 1 month ago)

In my experience, every time I try to pressure cook jars (1/2 pint or quart) on their side, I end up getting watrer in the jars (to the point of saturation. Does any one know of any good techniques for making this work? I have a small p.c., but I need to be able to cook bigger jars, but I don't have the dough to but a grande one.

Anyone?

You can't pressure cook jars on there sides.

Try buying a used pressure cooker at a thift shop.

Ebay has some for good prices once and awhile.

Can't you pressure cook a 1/2 pint jar in the upright position ?
