I'm sure most of you are aware there are narcs cruising this site looking for stupid people. I come across post sometimes like these by "newbies" :

Yes. I have gotten more than my share of PM's from total strangers that ask me for drugs. (one guy was looking for an OZ of cubies to take to a Phish concert in Texas. prob. was that Phis was not on tour)

The real threat does not really comes from newbies (unless you are naive/dumb) but from trusted, established members that we all trust. A narc could easily participate to our community, growing, trading, posting pics, ... That would involve a lot of work from them, but they've done worst in the past. Imagine you traded with a reputable member that turns to be a narc ! That is the real threat. Scary !

Oh well its kinda to late for first impressions there Sill. You make lots of unseriouse posts about wanting to trade people for indica strains and such. Try to remember that were in the real world and here you can't ask random people on the internet who there drug dealeres are. There is this guy named Felix who posts here. He is definitely a fucking narc.
He pmed me and says" Do you know any good head shops around here, I'm new to town" and I don't remember what I said, but I definitely blew that guy off. What a complete fucking narc! Just to fill in some more blanks for those wanting to know who all the narcs are here.

Don't be so paranoid. They don't have time to hunt small mushroom growers. If they were after someone they would bust vendors first, but they don't. Vendorst have to grow large amounts of shrooms, their addresses are public it would be really easy to get them...

I think that just the fact that nudity shows up here, sometimes even on avatars, and that there is talking of stuff that could be legally questionable, minors should not be allowed. By 'allowed' I mean that you should have to check a box that says you're over 18 when registering. Maybe that is done now, I don't think it was when i signed up.
Just so the shroomery and shroomerites can cover their ass a little bit more, every bit helps.

Well, if you were a narc who would you try to bust: a guy who grows a couple of cakes a year or some vendor who sells spores all around the world?
They have to grow large amounts, at least compared to average recreational mushroomer and I know that they don't do it at their business address but simple investigation would quicky reveal where they do, or who are their suppliers.
What I meant that people worry too much. If narcs would want to bust us they would already done it. It's quite easy to get where your internet entry point is, so hiding under nicknames, bluring fingerprints on pics, and similar precautions are useless...

i am pretty sure that vendors do not grow the spores they sell. They prob by them whole sale from a grower, who can grow them legally in his counrty, or something.
I don't think a vendor would last too long if he was growing his own spores.

If you check posts from vendors you will see that they are very experienced growers.

this is a silly debate....of course they are experienced growers,....how else would they have got into this bissness?
No one who owns a vending company is going to be dumb enough to grow large scale. i'm sure that they still keep headies going on the side,...but the spore you by from them, would have been purchased from a different grower,...its the only way it makes sense

If the vendors are truly growing, then why is it most often the cultivation supplies come from the vendor's address/home state and the spores often are sent out in a seperate package from another location/state?
Also if a vendor pays $3 a print and sells them for $10 there is no need to take the legal risk of growing them. They can always buy from people that obtained them in a country where there legal.
I do agree that 'shrooms are not a concern of the goverment. When charges were filed on JLF the goverment demanded that they stop selling a list of things such as resource chemicals and even toad skins.... They never made the demand for them to stop selling 'shroom stuff at all.

Over a year ago I ordered a shroom kit. Since then I've been getting mail asking for donations to help legalize pot and stuff. I guarantee my name and address was sold for money. This is not narcing but I'm sure my name could easily be sold to the feds for money too. Vendors have no ethics. And it makes me paranoid...

I think there is alot more cops / narks registered with the shroomery than we think. All they need is for you to say some stupid shit like " I sell pounds of mushrooms every day!!!" I personally think that eatting mushroom thats make you trip isnt good for your brain. I Think we should all do what I do and just frame the spore prints on acid free paper, date them and say species, then hang them on the wall! =)

In reply to ... someone. I moved to a new town, and asked someone over the internet if they knew where headshops were. Also, ive asked ive known online for drugs for just the same reason. I moved somewhere new, knew no one, and they were my only source. Not saying that you are wrong, but im saying people who arnt working for the man need drugs too. :P
