If you're looking for actives, they'll be in town in flower beds this october. I've been hunting the Olympics and Cascades for 25 years and have never yet found an active mushroom in the forest. The oysters seem to have stopped fruiting since the weather got dry, but the angel wings will be out this fall in the cascades on nearly all the down trees. Several species of hericium grow in the cascades and olympics as well. Ditto for chanterelles.

i used to go to shelton when in younger days looking for chanterelles and pine. great outdoors activaties...really missed it.

but unfortunately your best bet would be local pastures.
