i have no input on an extraction but i thought i'd add an idea.
it seems to me that one could ferment the pod tea to remove the sugars brfore evaporating it down like i've heard of with sp syrup. if anyone thinks this is worth a try i'd be glad to hear of the results one way or the other.

edit: for any who don't realize, using this method [if it works appreciably] would result in a smaller amount of putty containing the same amounts of opiates so dosage would have to be calibrated accordingly [carefuly!].

Hey how many pods were used to maoke what I see there starter!!

and is their any acid added(lemon juice etc) as some say that once you add that you cant smoke it , only eat it , I assume if you added only a VERY little it would be ok, and if you cooked long enough the acid would boil off, vineger does I think

but the REAL question is

HOW many pods for that nice looking putty????(small pods, larges??, Xlarge???)

I wonder if you could use a squeeze juicer to squeeze the latex our of unripened fresh poppy heads. Has anybody tried this?

Does fractional crystallization work (from the liquid solution) to remove the sugars? Does it reduce the activity? Have you tried it?

Does anyone know of any good binding agents for sugars, to remove them? That would be a very useful tek for many things.
