don't dunk in karo or honey water, that will just invite contaminates... they are done eating nutrients, now they're fruiting... dunking them with sugar is just going to make a nice bed for some bacteria and mold.

PS. your cakes look like someone puked all over them

your cakes are most likely going to contaminate because u didnt let them colonise. You messed up.

I fruited a 80% colonized jar once.. actually as we speak. As long as you use some peroxide in all humidifiers, or perlite.. Mine just colonized the rest of the sub rate FAST after i took it Outa the jar I've did several times. No contams yet, and they all colonized good. Now i getting s few early bloomers i should clones.

If it tok to long take a sterilized needed and pop out the part that insance colonized. the mycelium will seal the hole of 3- days. Then you Will start to see mad pins there, least thats what happened to my first cake

You should be able to get some pins, and you still have a whole week to wait for pinning anyway, nothings wrong. Maybe they had to colonize some more before they pinned, that'd take a good 'nother week. DOn't worry about it.

PS did you hump your cakes in your sleep? this would explain why they're so ugly. don't hump too much or you may have a human shroom thing that's always tripping plop out of your cakes one day.
