1 ) yes
2) if your wanting to steralize an entire room/ lab the best way IMHO is to use a mild bleach solution to cleanse surfaces such as table tops, walls etc if possable even mopping the floor with the solution would be EXCELLENT
you can use lysol or oust to help clean the air.. but i personally believe the best use for lysol is to knock down contams between process's such as fanning your trays, or misting ... i dont believe you can completely steralize an area with lysol alone.. if you dont kill the contam spores on the surfaces, they will get kicked back up into the air very easily

yes.
bleach solution as suggested.
wipe down surfaces with vinegar and with rubbing alcohol.
use oust for the air. lysol does not work in the air very well. I personally would forget the lysol totally. not saying it doesn't work. just saying it leads to mutations in some cases.
bleach for the floor and walls. vinegar and isopropyl for surfaces. works as good as lysol. bleach works there too.
can never be too clean. after you clean once, put a high powered fan in there with the door closed for a few.. wait a few... and clean again.
good luck against those contams.
peroxide works against cobweb. any sign of trichoderma (green mold) get rid of it immediately.
if you see green, time to clean.

for air use oust
for surfaces use 1:10 bleached water, rubbing alcohol, lysol
nothing lives through bleach
NOTHING
I would have a spray handy at all times of rubbing alcohol and bleach

Incorrect. Bleach is ineffective against molds. It will kill the spores, but not live molds, so be careful. It won't do squat for cobweb which spreads by mycelial fragments.
When you bleach bomb, shut OFF all fans and leave the room totally still so the bleach fog can go to work on spores and bacteria.
Oust is effective against airborne bacteria. Lysol is 80% alcohol, so will kill molds, virii and bacteria on surfaces, but is seriously overpriced for a small can of alcohol with only 1/10 of 1% ammonium saccharinate.
The best way I've found to clean a room is to fog with oust or ten percent bleach, then after fifteen minutes, run the flowhood for an hour before starting work. Doing this, I've been able to leave a petri dish open for several minutes away from the flowhood without introducing contaminants. RR

LYSOL can be found in GALLON jugs, at most cleaning supply places. Far far cheaper than the aerosol cans. You can still produce a fine mist, with a good mist bottle.

Lysol is not effective at all for air sanitation. Ozium is a better air sanitizer than Oust at pretty much the same price.
