I've heard of people using a food processor....i don't. I use a $24.99 coffee bean burr grinder....The BRF comes out a little chunker than store bought BRF....The flakes are a little bigger than flour. But it seems to work good....no complaints. I have burned up 2 coffee burr grinders.....each one has been replaced by the store....but they stand behind their product....lucky for me. Plus making my own BRF is alot cheaper...... $4.19 for a 5 pound bag....then grinding myself. My local health food store wanted $1.99 a pound for their BRF....and god knows how long it has been on the shelf.

yw thing to keep in mind with a burr grinder. the motor will burn up if you grind up too much rice all at once. so take your time grinding up the rice and the damn thing might last longer. they always burn up on me when i need the damn thing...lolz
