Jealousy, is just another form of fear based thinking.
Fear is the mind killer

Hey, that's what I was about to say

Jealousy usally pertains to ones desires that are lacking, comparing it thoughs who aren't, I'd say get some different desires, or find a different way to access your value, for rehash of your current pattern of thought and emotional effect, is self defeating and useless

More crippling than jealousy? Seriously? Try doubt. Or maybe some self-loathing? Or an actual crippling physical injury, perhaps?
I don't have a lot of experience on the matter, really. Maybe it is as bad as you make it seem. I mean, it's not like I have some fairytale life of fluffy clouds and pillows made of kittens, but I'd rather have MY life, really, thanks. I'm not someone else, I'm me. So why should I try to measure up to someone else or judge myself by them as a standard? That seems really trite, in print, and I'm sure it's no help to you, sorry. I just don't get it, is all.
-------------------- Don't worry, I'm wrong.

"Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they're yours"
By seeing jealousy as crippeling, and that it's ruining your life you make it so. Accept jealousy as a tool to make you aware of something. Thank it, let it go, then deal with what it's shown you, in a calm, rational manner... ie. talk it out with the people involved.
I've recently encountered a spat of jealousy myself. It lasted a day or so, but it was talked out and I now believe it was completely unfounded. There was totally no need for it, but because of it my relationships with the people involved has grown and strenghtened.
