Perhaps a strange or mutated Ecuador pin??

I wish I had pictures of my pin, but I don't so I will do my best to describe.. Normally I am used to a pin having a white stem and a brownish-red cap. I have only had prior experience with PF strain.. Now I have some equadorians pinning.. They definitly look different.. The stalks are almost a dark brown, and reather rustic looking.. And the cap is fairly red with white specs.. The discoloration of the stem has me bothered.. Is this normal with this strain?

Absolutely normal! Sometimes the stalk resembles a wood pattern. Peace.
