Pictures from Colorado (Beware 56k users)

Here are some photos from my vacation in Colorado. Unfortunately, the shroomery limits the amount of pics that you can upload per day, so more pics will have to wait. What I've got so far are some pics from Colorado Springs and a few from the Royal Gorge. I'll also at some point be uploading pictures from the Garden of the Gods, Red Rock Amphitheater, and the Sand Dunes. I'll get pics of the other places as soon as I can, but it may have to wait until I return home.

I love it here, but I am from Indiana so I would probably love being anywhere else. The scenery in Colorado Springs is awesome. The entire west side of the city is bordered by a large mountain range. It's a pretty large city. I think I counted 4 Wal Marts haha.
Anyway the weather is great in comparison to what it is in Indiana. Low humidity makes a huge difference. It was 90 degrees today and it felt like it does when it is 70 degrees in Indiana.
If you like being outdoors and doing a little bit of hiking and what not, you'll find plenty to do in and around Colorado Springs. I've stayed constantly busy seeing sites for 4 days now and there is so much more that I still want to see but won't have time to.

Were you in C. Springs for 4th of July. I was and saw some of the shittiest fireworks I've ever seen. Had a lot of fun though.

Yeah, I flew in on the 4th, but I didn't see any fireworks. I had been up for around 36 hours so I went to sleep pretty early that night.

Here are a few more pics that I took today on the way to and while at the great sand dunes. It was pouring rain all day and I got fucking soaked and covered in sand, but it was without a doubt the best day that I had while here in Colorado.
More pictures can be viewed in my gallary and I will be adding more there and here in the coming days if anyone still wants to see more.

What an awesome state. I'm definately going to be coming back here! In fact, I'm bummed about leaving tommorow and don't really want to go.

No problem man. I enjoy sharing them. I just can't get over how incredible the scenery is. I took a drive through the Sangre de Christo Mountains on the way back to Colorado Springs and I can't even describe how awesome that was.

Well, I wasn't driving and at times it was slightly frightening especially with it raining like it was and rocks falling off of the mountains onto the road. It wasn't so bad though, but I definately prefer being behind the wheel.

I LOVED the sand dunes! It was so weird, a giant mountain of sand in the middle of a field surrounded by mountains. Climbing to the top was so much fun, with the huge gusts of wind it felt like climbing a real mountain.

Oh yeah, it was amazing, The veiw arouind the dunes is breathtaking, especially once you get to the top and you can see a very long ways over the flat valley to the west(I think it's west), The view was not as good as it would be on a sunny day, but I still enjoyed it very much.
It definately took a bit of endurance getting all of the way to the top of the dunes but it was worth it. Coming back down wasn't hard at all. Some people had sleds and pieces of cardboard that they were riding down on. Haha, wish I had thought of that.
