Consuming a mushroom because it bruises blue or is blue is a dangerous practice.

agreed with baycafe.
some other mushrooms can be blue colored or bruise blue and are NOT active.
i would advise against doing that again.
an inactive stropharia species can look blue-green - just because it is that color doesn't mean its an active.

From the difinitive umbo and the incurved margin of the cap it probably is a psilocybe. But what one is hard to tell. need more iamges and gill shots and tem shots to determine if it is good enough to consume.
Never eat a shroom which is blue because you think it might be active. AS others above have said, many shrooms can turn blue which are not active and some of those are very toxic to humans.

Hi aromeha Nice mushroom, like Mj said that does look like a Psilocybe sp. Was just wondering, if you don't need id does this mean you know what Psilocybe species you have? what makes you say it's rare? I think the only reason others were not helpfull was because they thought you wanted an id without giving enough information! Someone should take a look at those through the scope!!! Wow, when you say blue meanies are you refering to Copelandia cyanescens? Can't wait to see the pics inski.
