That is not a spore print!!! This is a spore print-
Really fuzzy pics at that.... but you see??? Leave the mushroom alone over night!!! If you want to be sure of an ID you need to get a clear, full spore print. None of this 2 hr spore printing shit! Sorry, I just hate it when i can't see what i'm supposed t be IDing. I repeat the above, they look like foes, not subbs. But if you want a definate ID take a GOOD spore print.
Oh... and on the 4th I took a good lot of subbs and the effects were freaking mild. I had literally hundreds of dry specimens, my friend and I consumed a LOT (i had maybe 40- he had maybe 90), and we confirmed a mild trip- no trippy visuals really. It was odd, these ones may have been very low potency. But, it was fun

Cure Cat, if you ate that many subbs you would have been trippin. Mostlikely they were either Panaeolus castaneifoius or P. olivaceus or P. microsporus.
IT only takes one ounce of Panaeolus subbalteatus to get ripped. They are the saem potrency as cubes by fresh weight and by dry weight.
Look at LK's images or at Angry Shrooms Pan subbs posted at the Shroomster MJ site. Those are good subbs in those iamgtes form them.
Not the stringy small belled-cap ones some are finding in California on lawns.

Hmmm, I have taken a look at those photos, and frankly, they look like what I picked.
I have read that the potency is highly variable in the species Panaeolus subbalteatus, is this not the case?
The rings on the caps in the above photo have faded, but they were present when I picked them. I have looked and compared hundreds of photos of different Panaeolus species, and deemed them the closest ringer for Panaeolus subbalteatus. Of course, I have no conclusive way of being sure as I do not own a microscope. Anyway, good to know.
