A sweet thing that happened to my cam cake...

It didn't grow. Yay! Ain't that exciting. No. It's not exciting. It's a downer.
Here's the sweet part. The damn thing smelled like a foot, a grimey one at that. I knew it was the dreaded bacteria. So I take a big old bottle of h202 and pour it on top of the bacteria cake.
NEXT THING YOU KNOW the damn thing EXPLODES! Well sort of. The thing fizzes out and spills everywhere, and it wouldn't stop bubbling over for a good 10 minutes. Watching the bubbles go up the side of the jar was trippy and totally worth the mess.
Then. Out of no where. Bam. A little white wormy thing crawls up the side of the jar. It was LIVING inside there. Bam. I see another one. I look over. Three more. The things came out by the DOZENS! HA! It was fucked up.
Quite a site to see. If anyone does have a bacterial jar, I would say this is a fun and satisfying way to end it.

I don't understand? the eggs were in there before or they got in somehow during the colonization. I don't think they could live through the PC'ing or the steaming whichever you did.

No, they couldn't have made it through steaming. Apparently a fly got in that jar, somehow surpassing the guard of my rubbermaid. I actually ran to grab my camera during the overflow, it was so awesome looking I knew people on the shroomery would enjoy it, especially a side shot of the giant bubbles stuggling through substrate but then after I failed to find a camera and came back I noticed the larvae coming out and I wished I had it even more.
