Many would say make your own. You can save alot of money that way, but if you want a easy and quick solution try looking at the vendors on this site. The mycodome that mushbox.com sells is a 3-in-1 mushroom growing system.

buying that stuff is good if you have no use for money, but you can prolly do better for cheaper with something you make yourself. When you do it yourself, you can customize things to suit your needs too. For ease and space efficiency and laziness check out that invitro tek that uses spawn bags.

just buy a small rubber maid tub and add 1 inch of wet perlite to the bottom. Then buy some jars ad fill with rye and pc them for 1 hour. Then inoculate with spores and put them in a warm but not over 85 degreese dark place. Once it is all white shake it and let it get all white again then shake then pour into a small container and cover put in dark warm spot and then put it into the rubber maid tub.

yeah it is really very easy to make your own kit with just a few basic supplies. walmart will have almost everything you need (just not vermiculite) but they have WBS, pressure cookers, tubs, spray bottles, tin foil, tupperware, glass jars, etc, etc. i would not waste money buying all this stuff from someone else, just do it yourself.

my wally world only carried a 6 quart PC so I went to JC penny to get an 8 quart that hold 7 pint jars. Would like to have gone bigger in hindsight, but pints work pretty good.

I think the whole point in buying a kit is so you DON'T have to go stress yourself buying all the material you need, then putting it all together and risking fucking up somewhere during the process. A kit is only 200 bucks or less. I'd rather spend that, as opposed to getting in my car and buying a whole list of shit that I def don't have laying around my house. If money is not an option why would you make it yourself. Where is the logic behind this?

Because in a days's time (much quicker than having a kit shipped), you could easily purchase all the materials you need to get started for a lot less money, and build a much better product yourself.
It's not always just about the final product, some of us actually enjoy getting there on our own.

It's no AA, but a really good value. I ordered that model before they raised the price more than $20. I'm still very satisfied.

Haha I ordered that model on amazon for like 80 shipped or something. Works fine and was really easy to figure out. Was pretty displeased initially when i saw pressure cookers (23 quarts is a really big size for a pressure cooker) going for like 250+.

I have an AA and I was still thinking of getting one of those as a back up just cause its so damn cheap, its nearly a third of the price of my AA and fits the same amount of jars.
I mean with an AA I guess I don't need a backup one since I know I will never break the thing but just in case I lose the weight or something it couldn't hurt to have an extra on hand,I would probably just run them both at the same time and do twice as many jars
