First flush at different stages

My friend is experiencing his first flush ever at the moment, about 50% of his shroomies are mature and if don't get picked in the next few hours will drop their spores everywhere, while the remainder are still quite small but still haven't opened yet - maybe stunted by lack of water . If the ready ones get picked will the rest of the smaller ones still grow and mature? I think the casing is running quite short of water limiting the growth of the smaller ones- after I've picked the mature ones is my friend able to dunk the casing (giving these smaller shrooms more water)? Any advice on what to do? Thanks

Advice is to read the FAQ's.

dude, thanks for the advice but their not aborts, they are still growing just way behind. I guess my question is can i dunk with small mushies still slowly growing? I haven't dunked it at all yet and i'm afraid that if i don't dunk soon, the next flush may start and these small fellers will still be stumblin along(they are Blue Meanie (p.cubensis)), and there will be fuck all water to get any of em thru.

I don't know why but alot of people say pick your mature fruits and you can wait for the rest to mature. When my friend picks his mature fruits the rest abort.

I'd say you have two options.
(a) Pick the mature fruits and let the others continue to grow.
(b) Pick the mature fruits, clear off the remaining growth and dunk.
AFAIK you're not supposed to dunk with fruits still on. You're supposed to pick it clean.
