The ones on the right were given to me by a friend who was looking to get rid of em - the ones on the left belong to my housemate who will give them to me if thier mother doesn't want them....not all widemouths, but I'll take em!
Cross your fingers for me!

You don't want wide mouths on quart jars anyway. Nice score. RR

I've always used wide mouths, its so much easier to get the colonized cake out, I dont see how you could get it out intact in jars like that. But i soppose if you intend to do a grain transfer and case it those jars would work just fine. Either way nice score mane I use those for my casings. Small widemouths for my cakes.

Both work fine. It's just a matter of preference & what you have - on hand. Or, can acquire cheep & easy.
H/G pickle jars also work, once you get the hang of it. (requires a tall PC)

I use lots of wide mouths and have one or 2 small mouths, the small mouths seem to look alot nicer when colonizing + I can fit 4 or them inside the Pressure cooker but only 3 wide mouths

The only thing about getting all these jars is that now, I need a new PC.
My existing PC can't even hold ONE quart jar! lol not even on it's side!! I've already started browsing E-bay for bigger PC's
