first.
ok so you stuff is sterilized out of Pc right.
Toss a cloth over the pressure cooker while its cleaning.
This cloth should be soaked in 10 % bleach water solution.
When you open the pressure cooker to put the jars you want to inoculate on the ovenrack, that is contamination time. So maybe you can get someone to help you, someone also who took a shower and also clean short shirt, washed arms with antibacterial soap (preferrably have/ wear surgical gloves (cheap), wash gloved hands in bleach water tub (10%) ok. So while person no 2 holds put in front of open warm air blowing out oven you turn the lid and out under the bleach cloth covering it directly place the jars on the oven rack.
BUT!!!! WAIT!!! BE SURE TO FIRST STERILIZE THE OVEN ALSO. KEEP IT ON FOR LIKE AN HOUR ON REALLY HOT< AND DO THE TRANSFERS when its cooled down somewhat to tolerable levels. trust me. ive SINGED my arms in my dam oven that aint fun.
So now your jars on properly on the prepared rack. Your syringe, keep it on your side of the oven while you inoculate, downstream. If you can without damaging it, brush the outside of the syringe off with the bleach cloth. Open the needle and have a flame ready and sterilize the needle red hot, squirt out a drop and inject, you will hear it sizzle; then the anvil is hot inoculate. What type of jars u use?
take a shower.
1) short sleeve shirt.

I used brown rice and vermiculite as a substrate using the ratio's provided by the pk tek, sealed them with aluminum foil and boiled them for an hour and 10 minutes. Im not sure how much water evaporated while they were being boiled but there was originally 1/4 cup of water in each of the jars

dont have to go ot that extent if you dont want to just wash your hands good and spray the air with oust open the cold pressure cooker and inject spores and put filterdisk or micropore tape on holes then cover in tin foil and inncubate. the other stuff is overkill but you can do it if you want.

I then got impatient and inoculated them before I got a chance to read your first post, a stupid mistake. I did it on my counter top with minimal contamination prevention, I doubt they will turn out okay:(

I agree also you want to make sure the jars have cooled.. I made the mistake once of inoculating to soon and high heat can kill spores.

http://www.shroomery.org/index.php/par/7919
Look at this tek.. it's helpful
I inject mine in the kitchen w/ out using the oven as a flow hood. I am sure they will be fine as long as you let it cool

yep overkill me gree. Cos me almost couldnt breethe for coupla days.
but that is also not my preference. a hepa filter really is da bomb.
but working with an oven you really have to be totally in control and that well that way will work guaranteed.

this is over kill but it is my opinion and then you agree with us and say something different. ?? if you are singing your hairs you oven has to be hotttt and that will def kill spores. lmao

haha. I know man. that was my first time. It was like a nasty assed scab for like 3 weeks. But I usually take my jars into my steril or filter patc bags into sterile environ while steaming so nothing lands on them... also i presterilize my substrate in jars before i transfer them still hot into filterpatch bags so that nothing can land on the steamy stuff u know, then i pressure cook it again.
sorry i just dont want any more problems. i make sure its all done good and proper, like a doctor...

yup.
goto fungi.com

they rock.
of course tossin in the pre sterilized WBS... you take some ordinary masking tape and close the top off too you dont need a plastic bag sealing machine. This way you can reuse the bags also...
after innoculating. Rub the spot with alcohol, flame needle, inoculate, but have a piece of band aid to seal the wound like if you scratched u arm band aid the bag with breathable patches they are the cheapest type bandage bandaid stuff anyways and they presterilize cause it was meant for peoples wounds. Then u r set...

of course i do this in front of my trusty hepa filter.
and of course i spray the air with swimmin pool hot water solution, i got my gas mask (good one) and swimmin goggles, surgical glovs, and am waiting for my sani-mate air sanitizer (32$ from natural-living.com

and of course also i am waiting for my thermostat controller from bigappleherp.com
a controlling thermostat that u plug on u heater so if it gets too hot it switches off and if too cold it switches on. Cheapest thermostat controller u can find. $34...

and of course the critical liquid innoculant recipe: 4% honey
i.e 4 ml honey in 100 ml water, or, 20 ml honey in 500 ml water...
Just boil for 15 minutes dont sterilize/ caramlize it then u stuffed like thanksgiving turkey.

LOL. Yeah dude. I really dont like people seeing me in my GIT, trust me, feel a foo when they doo... coz i doo look purdy stupid in that git... but it works...! of course its always critical to have a large plastic tub that filled with poolchlorine water so that you can put the pressure cooker in it so no contaminants are on bottom of pot when you move it closer to the surface at the filter...

just want people to not waste their time.
once you got all the equipment its a cynch. tools of the trade.
but of course... simpler approaches can be taken, of course with devastating effects. once i was piss drunk and thaought, hey, i dont need to sterilize the lab. Hell no! 80% of 5 months of spawn, GONE in one swell foop... p.s: dont do this after half a bottle o whiskey...
