Different Strains Different Feel?

My friend is ready for his second time growing. His first time he grew amazonian with brf cakes and was very pleased. Recently he read about different strains having different feelings and colonization times on the shroomery wiki http://www.shroomery.org/wiki/pmwiki.php/StrainGuide/StrainGuide
Now, I was wondering if this is true that different strains have different feels. Would anyone recomend a good colonizing, high yielding and powerful mushroom for me? thnx yo!

Despite what most like to say, "A cube is a cube etc", there are noticable differences in buzz type. Ralphsters descriptions are usually dead-on.

It's all in how you take care of them. You feed it, it will grow... more nutrients and it will grow better, faster, bigger, and more powerful. IMHO and from research if you use the brf tek you can grow what ever type of grain loving mushy's you want... If you spawn it to h/poo, straw... that gives it food.. food always helps everything grow.. GT's were my first and are still faster than others. But remember too.. first grow on your first strain will always take longer. This is what you call first generation, after that each generation will grow faster as they adapt to your environment. :-)
good luck!

Ralph is a spore vendor--and a very kind one at that. All cubensis are pretty similar in the buzz they produce. I have never been able to say that any difference between strains is greater than the similarities. Potency is absolutely based on the substrain of spores, regardless of the medium on which they are cultivated. Bulks and large casings will simply produce more and bigger fruits, in my experiences. Im sorry but you guys can honestly tell me you cant tell a difference between strains? Im not talking about potency, but the "onset" and types of "rush, speed effect" of different strains? For instance: My friends like my B+ for outdoor/social scenes, while they prefer my Z strain for just partying.

I agree with you 100% FungusMan. I can definitely tell a difference between strains. For example, my Puerto Ricans have a great body load but only seem to be visual when I stare at something or see moving objects. On the flip side, my Ecuadorians have only a small amount of body load with extreme visuals. Everything looks like water colors and moves without even the slightest glance.
I have tripped well in excess of 75 times, over 28 different strains, and they were all different from strain to strain. While I do agree that they all share common characteristics, to say that they are all the same is not true. Perhaps it is your body that makes the subtle changes and not the strains, but I don't see any science behind any of these arguments.
Who cares though. Trip and enjoy yourself.

discreet as well. as are all the vendors. you don't really need to worry about your package coming in a tie dyed box that says "PSYCHEDELIC MUSHROM SPORES YAYY!!!" on them

It doesn't make much sense to me; that different substrains have different types of 'highs'...
Isn't that kind of like saying different acid tabs have different types of highs? I mean isn't it all the same chemical that makes you trip in the first place- the Psilocybin?

I am working with a few different strains at the moment with most of my interest being in my treasure coast and Texas strains,I have a pink buffalo too but I read on here that the Thai strains give off allot of Anxiety and being the kind of guy who nearly has a panic attack every time he goes out in traffic now that im off of all my medicine that is the last thing that I need when I'm tripping.I never really heard anything about the type of feeling from the Texas strain,Does anyone have any feedback on the "feel" of a Texas trip??

No. There's psilocybin and psilocin and the ratio between them. There's also about 4-6 other chemically similar substances that contribute to the experience.
So yes, there are differences between the species and strains.

psilocybin is psilocybin. nuances are name of the game when describing them. but it all is generally the same.

That's fool talk. Psilocybin is not psilocin which is not baeocystin which is not norbaeocystin. There are also around 4 other unidentified psilocybin analogs which most likely contribute to potency.

agreed i dont know if this relates but tolerance for weed is comprised of the chemical structure of the cannabinoids. hence different highs different tastes. I would say that it is not so easy to say that about sillys but you got to remember that mood and setting play huge roll in any psychadelic. I grew a couple pounds and had a blast on them but I also had a super extreme trip that was out of control pushing level 5 not in a good way on fewer grams then my other trips which are usually 10 or more. Some people loved those mushrooms and a lot of people had real emotional trips so I think you just need to try them all. About as good of an opinion your gonna be able to give for cubes is are they potent or bunk. The trip is all up to them

Ralphsters is a safe, fast, and friendly purveyor of spores. I would highly recommend using his services. Tasmanians are wicked visual, B+ only gives me bodyload, Treasure Coast is a good mix, and this is consistent for me...

I found in my LSD usage, the medium in which the LSD came on, directly affected my trip, Sugar Cubes? totally visual, Paper hits? depends on the graphic!!! (felix the cat gold, very speedy, very visual, Silver Surfer, VERY CLEAN, very visual, no speeedy, no body load, Flying Pyramid, OMFG mindfuck from hell) it's a psychadelic, it all depends where your psych is at...
but yeah, ralphsters descriptions greatly influence what I buy. And he's pretty dead on.
