casing without verm

I look forward to try casing. However i can't find vermiculite or coco coir anywhere where i live. Is there any casing tek that doesn't use any of these ingredients?
I've read that i can use broken clay from a pot to substitute verm in casings but has anyone tried this?

You dont need them. Peat with (ground) oyster shell works nice.Most people like vermiculite a lot for its water holding capacity, which is huge. It's easy to find though, any gardening or walmart store would carry it this time of year.
