Casing colonization moisture

I had some tinfoil loosely over my casings to start out but a few people on here told me to use plastic wrap instead. When I checked them today, they are about 90% colonized....but don't look too well . They smell great (fresh mushrooms) but the only thing is that there are water drops sitting all over the place. I took the plastic wrap off of them for now to hopefully dry them up a bit. Did I make the right choice? Are water drops normal? What should I do? I don't want anythign to ruin them this close to fruiting!!!

yep, the drops are normal.
don't know who suggested plastic wrap, everyone's got their way of doing things i suppose... but when you're colonizing a casing you want to be holding off on your pinning triggers. tinfoil does that nicely since it keeps it dark, seals it enough so that there's no fresh air yet isn't totally air tight so some gas exchange can still occur.
either way you should be ok. i hope by 90% you mean its 90% on its way to where you think its ready, not 90% of your casing is covered in mycelium, because then you may have let it go too far...

P.S. just peeked at your grow log and think there might be a little confusion. are you talking about your casing layer (i think you said you'd be using 50/50?) or are you talking about the poo substrate? dont mix up "casing" and "substrate" 'else you'll get mixed up advice.
im guessing you actually mean there's some moisture on your substrate, and again, its normal. sometimes its metabolites excreted from the mycelium itself, other times you might end up with some droplets on there from falling condensation. if there's any big pools of water you may want to dab them up before you apply the casing layer, but for the most part the casing layer will suck it up and regulate it. at this point the saran wrap over it makes more sense like you did too, as does you saying its 90% done my suggestion above was pretty specific to once you've applied the casing layer (its not technically a casing until you've done so!)

I have not cased yet and I don't think i'm going to for this grow. Here are some pics...
I don't know if those discolored spots are just where its really saturated, or if its started to pin while colonizing. I don't think that its contam beacuse its not slimey or anything and has no smell (except mushrooms). I am a little confused about what to do right now. Should I fruit, let it keep colonizing? Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks
[EDIT] I think the spots might just be drops of water sitting on top and the camera flash is making it show up weird...the spots don't look like that in person [/EDIT]
