Which flush is the best for you? Rank them in order dry weight wise.

Oh... I forgot to add that you should post your opinion on the subject also. Post if your order would vary by growing method, substrate, wet vs dry weight, size vs weight, # of pins vs weight, etc.. Post if you've noticed any factors which alter the order, etc..
If nobody posts then the thread will be buried before it gets many votes.

i voted with respect to cakes as thats what we were discussing in the other thread, but casings go in the straight 1-2-3 order for me too.
on cakes i see about half as many pins per flush... so say there was 10 on the first, i'd get 5 on the second, 2-3 by the third, etc. the latter flushes are usually bigger per mushroom, but overall yield dry weight speaking has diminished with each flush (in general, there's been exceptions of course) in my experience.

You're getting more than 10, 5, and 2-3 per cake though aren't you?
I forgot to specify growing method, but hopefully people will post if they have differing experiences.
Please post what you voted if your experience differs between growing methods and you voted based on something other than PF cakes.

That's what it's there for. It's an unofficial shroomery rule to have that option.

well, usually. was just throwing some numbers out to illustrate what i meant. although really, the majority of the first flush yield usually comes from the couple (maybe 5 to 8) biggest full grown mushrooms on that first flush regardless, if there's lots more pins it usually just means lots more little guys that dont add up to squat when dried, or aborts to pick off. if a cake goes beyond a 3rd flush for a 4th or 5th, its always been only one or rarely two that grow.

Interesting results. I wish more people would VOTE!
15 votes isn't a very good turn out.
It looks like most people are getting 1,2,3 orders, some getting 2,1,3 and a few getting 3,2,1.
I wonder what could be causing that? I also wonder what those yield orders mean for total yield?

What do you think of these results CC?
I'm a bit surprised. I would have figured it to be the opposite case with a majority of 2,1,3 and slightly fewer 1,2,3s.
It's a fairly close split though, so I guess it just goes to show that your results may vary.
I wonder how much of an effect strain has?

2,3,1 will happen if you don't dunk your first flush... ie, you dunk after your first flush, making 2 good, then dunk after 2 making 3 good, leaving the first one as the worst flush because it wasn't dunked.
at least IME with cakes...

The votes finally seem to have come in. Didn't change the results much though.
Maybe someone has some theories to explain the split experiences? Please post!

I think some only apply some tweaks (example dunk and roll for cake) after the first flush, thinking that this is not absolutely necessary for the first one giving them a better second flush. More nutriments is also still available for the second flush in this case. That what I have do in my first grow, and was 2, 1, 3

My most recent cakes gave there best flush 2nd time round, first flush was around 20 grams, then second went crazy and gave me 40, third flush has given me 1 big shroom, unknown waight as we speak as the veil hasnt broken yet (hopefully in a few hours)
But thats probably due to my less than ideal conditions, light is letting me down, i have a nice fluesresent energy saving bulb but my lamp fitting broke, so i need to get a new one.
Cant complain really as it has still given me plenty of shrooms, enoughs o to give some out aswell.
