Jesus was the son of God. And so is everyone else. He just carried in him the knowledge. We all have that knowledge that Jesus had but we never look to are inner self like we should. We have gotten to wrapped up in false beliefs that the world has conditioned us to. And now most of us are blind to the truth.

I think its important to have respect for the different religions, tragedies and lessons of the past, even if you deny their lifestyle and beliefs. Respecting anothers differences and helping them better understand where things might not fit and also accepting the things which do...would help avoid situations like this.

2. To avoid violation of or interference with: respect the speed limit.

Which definition of respect are you recommending? I do not think that it is possible to manufacture or force regard and esteem for belief systems which you see as baseless and non-productive.

If you mean we should avoid interference with such belief systems, I agree. So long as adherents to said beliefs do not interfere with me or the laws of my country, I will not interfere with their right to practice their beliefs privately or in groups of other believers.

 You must use the same online dictionary as I do (alt)...You didnt include:

Quote:

Willingness to show consideration or appreciation.

both seem valid, and your right, one must be carefull they do not accept untruth, nor share it, so then, it's up to you how you decide by which basis you make  your choices. Though, I find it difficult to accept that any religion or belief system can be missing some form of productive influence. Isn't that the reason they were propagated initially? To help humanity? Who then shifted the message? Or were people so inclined to allow themselves to be controlled that it didnt occur to them they were being... mislead and alienated ?? Far be it for me to deny one's pride in uncanny beliefs, I've tried. Though, I tend not to make fear my welcome mate...

Im just a humble traveler caught in a race I didnt want to enter, but the scenery is to die for. :tripping:
