primordia to pins -- how long? * 1
    #5817386 - 07/03/06 07:46 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

My cakes are now plagued by primordia (first ones appeared ~36 hrs ago) but there are no pins. How long do these buds take to blossom?

In lieu of making two noob posts in one day, I decided to go for a twofer: In my perlite-FC, I have a very hard time keeping the humidity up and the temp down. Any tips for dropping the temp of a 70cm x 50cm x 30cm tupperware? ...or for boosting the humidity of said tupperware?

liam is right. get a cool mist or get a 10-15 dollar fish pump and stick one of the hoses into the water at the bottom oft he tub. or put the hose into a jar of water with a bubble stone. i had wet perlite with plenty of holes for fae. my humidity was 80. i put the hose in and it jumped to 90. mist walls and it will increase aswell

basically the tek would be to try to find a cool mist humidifier with a directional spout, hook a hose from the humidifier into the side of your chamber towards the top. if you can't find a directional spout humidifer, then you have to ahead and modify it to hook up a hose. but a bubbler stone/stick + aquarium pump will work too.

Dude, I live in Colorado, and here 30% rh is moist. My perlite chamber is solid at or above 95% humidity, and my lide isn't even on tight. If you're having problems keeping your humidity up, you're not using enough perlite.

As for the primordia situation: mine at longest took 2 days to turn into pins. However, they took about a week to go into primordia.
