VERY important noo b question about timing...

I've read a lot of posts on here and I'm well aware of what a developed shroom looks like and aborts. If I do decide to grow I have some questions. I've noticed in nature after a rain, that mushrooms seem to come out of nowhere and a couple hours later they have vanished- a short above ground life cycle. What is that cycle like for those grown indoors. I mean, say I'm doing everything perfectly. How much of a window of time do I have from the first pinhead to a fully developed shroom. And after the shroom is primo for pickin, how much time until it is too late?I mean, If I leave my house at 9 in the morning and don't come back til the next day, is it possible to miss all of the shrooms from the first flush?

the reason they go away so soon in nature, is because ducks and geese eat them, and people mow their lawns. i had a patch in my apartment complex that was there for a week before the lawnmower man came and took em down.
but they will rot eventually, so you want to pick them as soon as the veil tears.

It depends on the cultivator, for me it's about 3 weeks from knock up to harvest.
Pin to shrooms can all so very due to the environment, but I think about 5-7 days, though I have not paid attention to the times since my first grow.

Mine took like a month from inoculation to fruit. I really can't be sure of what strain I am growing, but I was told it was B+ by thehawkseye, and it is growing incredibly slow even though my incubation chamber is perfect. I also just inoculated some more jars with B+ instead of one of the other strains I bought. What was I thinking!?

B+ is very slow... has been for me too.
i thought it was the vendor at first, so i bought B+ from a dif vendor, and the same thing... slow colonization all around, even in the LC

Man, it is really comforting to hear that from someone else. I just figured I sucked at growing mushrooms. Liamtheloser, what's your favorite?

What vendor would you recommend for the GT?
I saw that roadkill was giving them away for free to complete newbies, and it seems that I am just barely past that, since I've been here for about a month and have already successfully grown.
Funny; my novice standing is working to my disadvantage.
