Well a 4th of July lift off will be very cool. I hope unlike the liberals that everything will go off good.

But how can a billion dollar investment still use foam?

I think they should scrape the shuttle sooner and move to the new one much sooner. Though I do think the space program is very important

How ignorant. Space exploration is an investment, not an expense.
More, not less money should be spent on it!

One of the few worthwhile endeavors mankind engages in.

Plus the idea we should get things perfect "back here" before exploring "out there" is utter bullcrap.

If we had listened to that nonsense we'd all still be huddled together around a fire in our caves with our thumbs up our asses.
