Politics in the Pub
    #5818029 - 07/03/06 10:36 PM (17 years, 6 months ago)

So what's the deal is so why is there a Politic Forum?

Politics threads are not appropriate in the Pub.

Or can mods post what and where they like without respect to that particular forum.

Maybe he wanted feedback about a particular issue or question from the Pubbers that he knows.

I see no rule prohibiting any particular subject matter in the Pub. What's the reason why you cannot simply ignore the thread if you don't care for it's subject matter?

There is the letter of the law and the spirit of the law.

While yes there is no direct rule against it, it dose cause controversy. And the pub is suppose to be a laid back place where you dont have to worry about that.

A laid back place where you don't have to worry about personal attacks or flaming. But there is nothing that says that there need be flaming simply because a political issue is being discussed in the Pub.

Indeed, because of the nature of the Pub, such a discussion should progress without the usual anger and frustration which commonly accompanies a political discussion. If you don't feel that you can participate in the thread discussion without flaming or becoming disruptive, then by all means stay out of it.

Making additional threads in the Pub to mock or protest the other thread is not very Pub-like behavior either, I might add.

I dont flame or other wise. So there can only be one view in the pub at a time. I have no problem with it, if we all can share our view.

What you call disruptive is simple another view that you dont agree with.

I all know for a fact that that post is not appropriate for the pub.

If you think his thread isn't appropriate, then you must naturally believe that your thread isn't either...

Yet you had no problem posting it. That goes a long way in illustrating your disruptive attitude.

I'm guessing the pub mods know you too well and figured you could take a bit of free discourse.

Or maybe you are a giant pussy.

I don't know.

Maybe a support ticket is in order?

Get over yourself. You made a post about space exploration in the Pub. Why not put it in the science forum?

The Pub is for talk about all things.

Your other thread mocking zippoz's was inappropriate. His was not. You are a baiting, trolling fool and I'm surprised you're not banned yet. How many threads of your's got deleted today? Three? Four?

Just shut the fuck up already.

This thread has been closed.

Reason:
That's enough kids, WA&F isn't the place.

As for the original post, I'm sorry but I just don't see this as that big a deal.
