When I was a young kid I was stung in the face several times by wasps. Ever since then I've fucking hated and feared wasps and to a lesser extent bees and even random small flying things near me kinda freak me out. I've slowly gotten past it over the years. Partly because bees are really cool creatures. They keep the flowers going, provide that tasty honey and represent the triumph of true communism, heh.

Short post long, I dig the picture. Bees are neato.

yeah he lived... barely. digitalis x is the latin name for foxgloves. it fucks with the heart, i work in a herb nursery with like 15 different kinds of the fuckers. Albert Hofmann did some studies on it in the days before LSD I think because when he was making the LSD-X range he was looking for a cardio thingy (something to widen the blood vessels?) I think, I'm not sure. Anyway, his studies went into the digitalis (foxgloves) to see what kind of properties they held.

As it turns out, if you eat/smoke/lick enough of the fibrous shit or drink the sap from fox gloves, it effectively speeds up your heart until it either explodes (not literally, but like busts vessels n shit) or just stops from overwork.

The dude I know got to hospital before anything life-ending happened, but he was pretty fucked.

Two comments:

--------------
1. i know people that wont use honey because it "enslaves" the bees
--------------
2. why are bumble bees the most threatening looking bee? They cant even sting you lol but they look so much scarier than any other bee lol how useless.

I dunno, I've always felt bumblebees are the least threatening. Even with my phobia. I think it's because they fly like they're a fucking drunk retard that was just kicked in the head. Sorta like moths and butterflies. It's funny.

Bumblebees are hardy as fuck though. I remember growing up in Illinois and my dad had to use a full can of the high pressure raid wasp/bee killer to take out this one giant bumblebee that was almost as big as a golfball. It was nuts.

And now, tab in cheek I disco. Ciao.

the bumble bee's around here just fucking swarm on the Rhododendron flowers in spring time... it's an awesome sight. I've never been afraid of bumble bee's because when I was a kid I was told they don't sting you, so I spent my whole life picking them up and letting them walk around on my hand n shit, then someone told me they do sting and it kinda hurts a fair bit but it didn't phase me cuz i was so used to picking them up.

Does anyone know if bumble bee's live in hives or are they creatures that kind of live on their own?

Bumble bee's are fucking cool. I've never seen one as big as a golf ball and find it hard to believe but some of the biggest ones Ive seen are around our property and also some of the little itty bitty ones lol

thats the dumbest way I can think of to get rid of a bumblebee

i also used to hold bees. I'd trap them in my hands and show off to my friends usually, honey bees though. Eventually I got allergic from too many stings.
