I'm looking to grow my own Psilocybe cyanescens, in the wild. How do I go about placing the spores after buying a syringe, so I can start my own patch somewhere. thx

Before I would try that make sure your area will support it,
But you would do it like a case, but outdoors, grow out spawn, and then spawn it to your prepared bed.

exactly, spores have little to no chance surviving out in the wild. thats why mushrooms make so many billions of them. you need to start spawn first and use that. if it were easy as placing the spores somewhere outside we wouldn't have all these cultivation techniques.
not to get down on ya but i think you need to think things through some more and do a lot more research. pans are a little more difficult to grow in the first place, and i don't recall anyone on here having spoke of growing pans in an outdoor patch. (not to say it can't be done, but you'll be hard pressed to find much speaking-from-experience type help with it.) i think you'll do best to start with an indoor grow, and maybe even try your hand at cubes first until you get the hang of things, because they're a lot more forgiving.

well using a spawn bag is definitely the right step, and if you live in an area where they naturally occur you definitely have a shot... what little i have heard of intentionally growing them outdoors i do remember it takes them quite a while and there's a pretty specific time frame to get them started so the conditions are right when they're ready to fruit (i'm just not sure when that is to direct you any more, but hopefully you haven't missed it!) good luck, an outdoor cyan grow log would be fantastic.

CC man, I think this guy is actually refering to the Psilocybe Cyanscen strain, not Pan Cyan...which is 2 differnent species of mushshrooms. These are wood lovers and you can use various azurescen teks to accomplish an outdoor grow I believe. Check out the Archives section of this forum, you will find the information your seeking. I actually purchased this strain thinking they were Pan cyans and then read after that they are very differnent, but generally more potent then normal cube's.
Good Luck

woodlovers... http://www.shroomery.org/index.php/par/23955
you can follow the Azure growing method... Psilocybe Cyanscens grow the same way.
Anno has a pretty clear guide... http://www.fungifun.org/English/Psilocybe-Azurescens-Outdoor-Cultivation

I have been working on a tek that involves spores to a woodlovers LC and then LC directly to woodchips. This tek has proven very successful thus far and will be quite a time saver.
