Fan leaf processing

I just found about an ounce of fan leaves that have been forgotten for a couple of months (you know how you tend to forget fan leaves when you've got an abundance of buds in jars waiting to be torched )
Well now, the stash is running thin by the day so I am thinking of processing the leaves into oil if possible. I was thinking about making butane oil but I'm just not sure that fan leaves without visible trichomes will produce much THC oil.
Anybody have experience making fan leaf oil or hash?? Is your method the same as it would be if you were using trimmings rather than fan leaves? Do you get a consistent % yeild of oil to fan leaf material?

With just one ounce ofr fan leaves there might be enough to give you a single buzz. (maybe)

naw youll get an alright amount of oil from fan leaves.. Definatly wont be getting grams but itd be worth it... Id just use Iso just soak the leaves for 30-60 seconds, and be sure to freeze the iso and the trim befor soaking.
Good luck man.

Yeah, that's the thing. I know the purpose of freezing trichome covered leaf is to prime them for separation from the leaves, but in this case there are no visible trichomes. If I were to extract anything I'd no doubt have to pulverize the leaf so that the butane can get into every nook and cranny of the inner leaf (and not just washing over and dissolving thc crystals on sugar leaf).
I may just fill the BBQ with the leaves and watch it burn, or bury them in the compost pile. I, myself, don't think there is anything worth salvaging from the fan leaves. I got some second opinions from some people I trust to be knowledgable of these things, so I'm probably just gonna toss it (or offer it to my budless roommate who may actually want a big bag of fan leaf to smoke).

Hey don't get me wrong I wasn't knocking ya just a oz of fan leaf well you know. Plus there is no thc in the inner leaf tissue it's all in the trichs. Pour butane over it and you'll get unstoney goop.
ISO oil and hash are both cool but something about doing that iso just screams "am I really this desperate for a high?" Then again if done right it is some killer shit.

I personaly prefer iso oil over fresh pot. I dont own a vaporizer, but the oil seems better for my lungs than smoking a J.. I also do a warm water rince when i make oil, to help get the last little bit of iso out of my oil.

I think I've got you right Magash, I know you aren't knocking me. I originally experimented with hash making from good trim and that is the reason i stowed away the fan leaves. After finding the fan leaves today I thought I seek to find if they were worth bothering with. It appears that they are not, or at least not practically so. Thanks for the help, I'm glad I did't waste my time/money on a fruitless extraction.

Hey I hear ya Rah I'm just kind of in and out on it, as I do it it's like what the fuck am I doing but once done you know why ya did it. No knock or anything just feels weird growing all organic (or all fox farm which is close) then pouring fluid over it.
Throw this in the volcano, put some weed (For taste) on the bottom, a layer of oil in the middle (the perfect glue to hold the hash and weed together) with some bubble on top (has to be pure trichs from the seconed to last screen )
