but man, soccer players are truly kings among bitches.

its the number one turnoff for me.
for a game that evokes alot of passion and excitement, seeing guys take dive after dive really does something to dispel the magic.

i dunno if youve ever played soccer... but man, when someone is trying to slide tackle the ball away while your running with it.. even the slightest amount of contact will make you eat it hard
when just watching it fromm far, like on the tv, it looks like theyre just falling over... but theres really not alot you can do about it

yeah..you can get fucked up easily in a soccer game. my knee aches whenever a storms coming thanks to being injured by a slide tackle ten years ago. it's a really pyshical sport.
there are alot of dives though, and it bothers the shit out of me. it interupts the flow of the game, which is one of my favorite parts about soccer. i think they might be diving more in this world cup because everyone realizes how strict the refs are and how quick they are to hand out perilous cards. if you can over sell your fall and the ref gives your opponent a card than your team has an advantage. it's that system that encourages diving, especially when the ref sucks, but with an attentive fair ref the system usually works like a charm. a ref like that will give cards to the people taking the dives, which is always nice because it changes the players behvavior and they dive less.
