Plants use soil w/nutrients to grow eat etc.. What do shrooms use?

Substrates consisting of nutrients that mushrooms want.. like the easiest one is Brown rice flour...

Brown Rice,Cowdung+Straw or Wood are the main players.
Take Cellulose. (basically "Plant fibre") Hack it into pieces & you've got Starch. Hack it up further & get Dextrin. If you hack that up too you'll get Dextrose aka (+)Glucose (Grape Sugar) and THAT's the main food for Shrooms. Most Shrooms can do this with enzymes: turn fiber into sugar.
They also need some salts & other stuff too, so you can't pick a little cotton & expect to grow shrooms on that.

Plants take a lil sunlight, water & CO2 & turn it into Sugars & breathing oxygen. Should the plant die, the Microlife makes it into water, CO2, plant compost & sometimes Psilocybin too. Ain't Nature just AWESOME ???
