LOW COST FRUITNG CHAMBER

Okay, so I've been on here for a couple months now just reading and brainstorming, keeping in mind all of the info and teks I've studied. I have discovered a VERY cheap and effective fruiting chamber. I would love feedback so maybe I could improve upon this idea or maybe get a pat on the back for my innovation Here's what I did...
At my local "everything is a dollar" store, I purchased two "Aero" brand Food storage Canister. Hexagon shape(4 Qt. size) - 2 dollars. At my local thrift store, I purchased an old glass sun tea container with built in spout. These can be found at almost any thrift store and I think Wal-Mart also carries them now too. -4 dollars. I basically only needed the rubber fitting that seals the hole to use for my new chamber. 1 rubber wine stopper to plug up hole used for misting.
DIRECTIONS:I cut one side of a canister off with an inch to the right and an inch to the left and measured the height 7 inches.(This is what I use for my spray shield see picture for visual) I cut a hole in the bottom of the canister about the size of a quarter to place the rubber stopper from the tea jar in. Then I flipped it over so the canister is resting on its lid. I then placed the cut out piece of plastic inside the canister at an angle underneath the cut out hole on the inside,to create a spray guard(See picture) and I pushed two thumbtacks into the side from the outside to create a small ledge for the bottom of the guard to rest on. (Also in picture as two blue lines. ) I filled a half pint jar lid with perlite then placed the cake and jar lid into the canister lid. When I mist, I remove the wine stopper and spray followin the directions of other teks, and to fan I simply unscrew the canister and remove the lid and the cake is still resting on the lid and the chamber is seperate. This is also good because I can pick up the 1/2 pint jar lid off of the canister lid and dump out any excess water that has accumulated. It also makes fanning easy too. I tried to be thorough with my explanation, but I know parts may be confusing. I tried to draw pictures to help clear up my words. I will gladly answer questions to clear up any confusion. This is a VERY easy method and works great and greatly reduces any chance of cantams and keeps humidity high with ease. Thanks for reading!

Any way you can post a picture of the completed setup? This sounds interesting but I cannot follow your instructions. =/

Not everyone has the luxury of using up all that space and being so obvious. This is a space saver technique which also cuts down dramatically on the risk of contams and nosy roommates.

i agree, your idea isnt bad and will work great, but rubbermaids and perlite is the best. If you want to talk about growing in limited space it maybe better just to case it, and engineer similar container for casing trays.

Wal Mart has these new misting things they sell the same section with their fans. Its a little hand held pump connected to a container for water. You pump it up ten times and turn a valve and a super fine mist comes out. Works great! Just thought I would share the info. They have a website. www.mistymate.com the one I got was only ten bucks.

How long after you began fruiting did it take to arrive at the point in the bottom picture? I've nevr grown before so I have another question. I've noticed that outside in the wild, shrooms seem to pop up out of nowhere and return to nowhere just as quickly. What kind of time frame is there when grown indoors? I mean, could there be nothing tonight and then tomorrow afternoon be a shitload, and then all gone by the next morning?
