Any plant can be done if done right. (By done I mean taking cuttings from leaves) I've seen  half blades from leaves done. Here is a leaf from a plant I've heard so many times can't be done.

Leaves can root, but can they shoot?

In most cases if you can get a good root system from the leaf it will produce new shoots.

You gotta stick the leaf like halfway in the dirt though right?

THANK YOU!

That works for African Violets with the growth medium. What would be a good medium for Salvia Divinorum?

Well here's a good write up about Psychotria viridis and it includes a section about leaf cuttings I've followed.
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/7265692#Post7265692

This is the result:

I count at least 5 shoots from those three leaves but I'm not sure that's all of them.

BTW this is a pretty old thread.

That was a good thread but the Pics have all been deleted. I've got about 5-6 leaf cuttings started. They have only been started for about a week so far but they all look like the pics you posted. Thanks for posting that. I have not been able to find any pics of what they should look like throughout the process, only descriptions. If anyone could post an up to date tek with pics. I'm sure it would be really useful. It's so easy to take leaf cuttings for chacruna. I just hope mine send up shoots successfully. To bad it takes so long.

BUMP THIS MOTHERFUCKER UPPPPPP

It took nearly 2 months but fuck this technique actually does work, the node appeared out of the soil today and the leaf was kept in high humidity for the duration of the 2 months and the bit has finally  poppped up out of the ground.

I used a leaf with the stem still attached to it and it has grown out of that.
