The author describes a future very similar to that described by Cyberpunk SF writers, like William Gibson and Neil Stephenson.

Where the ultra-rich live far apart from the rest of humanity on vast private estates.
The middle classes live in 'Burbclaves', an extension of the gated community idea. Corporate run sub-urban independent states.

Walled and gated to the outside world, independent power, water, communications grids. Local laws and taxes, and private education, fire, medical, security and law enforcement services, effectively countries in the own right.

As for the rest of humanity, well.. sucks to be them.

It may be fiction, but its based on current social trends. In time people, that are able, will abandon governments that have failed them.

what is your definition of "correct" this is a projected theory and its very accurate. What exactly in the article is "incorrect" i would like to hear.

the link posits that the whole world is becoming like iraq.. and the only way to cope is for us to live under fascist govts and a network of private corporate armies...if thats not neocon drivel..then i dont know what is...it is only very accurate if one takes the ultimate fruition of neoconservatism as a given..but thats not yet the case...

This article was written as a warning not an invitation, Its a projection of how the future of american security will become unless something is done about it (doubtful. The entire world will be enslaved because of our apathy.
