OK i keep reading from here to mycotopia.com bout the hundreds of people using Lysol too much Lysol and i just keep thinking like is Lysol that much worth it for i dunno like $2.?? something a can. me i use a 52 scent spray bottle with a mixture of 4 oz bleach 3oz bleach to the line on your typically 32 oz spray bottle for a 1/10 solution which can kill germs in the air and on surface no smell and no chance of hurting your clothes or carpet what have you so i just want to know what people prefer or why they prefer Lysol cause my (bleach ) lasts 500x longer then a can of ( Lysol )

I make up my own bleachy water mix for cleaning surfaces.
I use Oust for airborne spraying.

bleach has it's place. I always use it after any sign of trich. I'll bleach everything and close up so the bleach vapors can work a touch too. I use bleach to soak jars in after use, but that might be unnecessary. I clean my floors and my bathroom with bleach.
I use a vinegar wipe/scrub, followed by an 80% isopropyl wipe for surfaces.
I use oust for the air. No subs here, only oust. Lasts longer airborne.

The major advantage of lysol is that it leaves a residue that will continue to keep a surface sterilized for some time. Bleach doesn't do that. They both have their place though.

I use both. Lysol for my gloves and bleach for other things. It just depends. Lysol is almost $4 dollars a bottle at wal-mart here. I think I have 8 cans, bleach, tons of Oust, Peroxide, Iodine, Alcohol in varying strengths. Pretty much anything I feel like using. I do not pinch a lot of pennies in my hobby as thats just the way I am. That and I lose stuff all the time so I need ten cans of all of them so I can find 1

Dude the government don't let companies use CFC's anymore. Ozone depleting substance. Any aerosole can should be ok for the world. Just go with the bleach and water. Cheaper. But I agree with the above posts. use bleach to clean oust for air.

IT blows up like a nuclear bomb if you use it in a glovebox and flame a needle

I swear if my glovebox was not glass I bet I would have went to the hospital, the glass protected my face so only my arms and hands were actually on fire, only for a min or so but a min feels like a long time when you are actually engulfed in flames,I have an insane tolerance to pain but I hate burns ALLOT.I guess now that I don't flame needles anymore I could go back to using it but to be honest I have seen less contamination with bleach solution and alcohol than when I used oust anyway

Soap and water is all that is needed to clean a glovebox. In addition, keep the alcohol flame outside the glovebox. Having a flame inside fogs up the sides, making it hard to see. RR

i use oust for the air since i was told lysol causes mutations i too can attest to the bomb created within a glovebox. I will never make that mistake again...cost me my eybrows for 3-4 weeks and the cost of a window pane that the top of the glovebox rocketed through...alcohol and oust is all i use.
