If you were aware as you pretend to be you'd tell me what a great album I recorded. It may not be nirvana, but it's as close as I'm going to get. I tried my best on it. You can laugh at it all you want, but I doubt most people ever dream of doing something so ambitious. A Tribute to Nirvana should essentially be a punk record. Obviously punk has to do with the attitude more than anything, but 10 songs in around 13 minutes is a fitting tribute. You can laugh at it all you want. But you saying you won't do what I'm doing is just an excuse you use instead of admitting that you can't. And I'm certainly not here to make you feel bad. I just want you to understand what it is you're seeing. I don't want you to actually be the fool you claim I am.

Hey OneMoreRobot, have you been to any good shows lately? I still remember the story you told about Ziggy Stardust in the park. Wasn't it with Arcade Fire?

Yup I go to shows quite often, the other night I saw TV on the Radio, Tom Petty a little before that, Radiohead a little before that. Saw a few great young bands two nights in a row - Little Ones, Figurines, Say Hi To Your Mom.

You're not a start and you would not be treated like a star. There are a million people writing poetry as bad as yours in this city. I know you'll just respond to this with some stupid lofty statement about how I don't like myself and therefore I think your poetry is bad, but really, no, stop.

Actually I think that if he sung these in a similar fashion to his Nirvana song's, he could pull off a comedy act.

He might attract an audience and make some money doing an off-Broadway one-man show but people would stop coming once they realized he thought he was the second coming of Jesus Christ Superstar.

Ever hear that William Burroughs thing where he's doing spoken word over Cobain playing some screechy, feedback-filled guitar? It's really cool.

Seriously though come on out to Cologne, or Amsterdam.  Deepman is meeting me in barcelona, and then flying up to Amsterdam around the time I make it to there and me him, cybrbeast and Annom are all gonna rock the casbah. :headbang:

You can say that all you want, but you're making your failure my own. I'm a brilliant artist. You're just a crazy person to say that bullshit to someone like me.

You can believe whatever you want, but obviously you aren't getting as much out of the shows you are going to as you should to be saying that to me. I just saw Tom Petty too, and there is a certain understanding that after that kind of experience a person doesn't turn around and shit on other artist's dreams, especially not genuine artists, real geniuses. I mean you saw Tom Petty and now are telling me I'm not a real artist when I am. What the fuck? Because you sat on your candy tripping holiday ass while I worked my ass off? You can say the bullshit you do about me all you want, but I know the truth. I know you have no idea what you're talking about to say what you are saying to me. It's crazy that you would say the bullshit you said to me after I asked you if you had a good time at a concert. Reality says I am a star, and New York should follow me wherever I go. I'm a real artist in this world. If it really happens for me, who knows if it will, who cares. I know the kind of effort I've given. I know what heaven is about. I know I couldn't have tried more than I did. I gave everything.

No, all you did is sit around doing drugs and writing bad poetry and posting about it on an internet messageboard where barely anyone appreciates it while steadily further developing the ridiculous martyrdom complex you've fallen into by taking upon yourself to perceive all negative criticism as reinforcement of the idea that you are the savior of art, literature, and the human race as we know it.

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.
