i have 3 tubs in my TIT and the largest one keeps getting cob web mold. ive sprayed this thing 6-8 times. i cant get rid of it. the bottom and sides of my tub is about 80% done and the top is about 60-70% done. i think all ths spraying might have stalled the growth on the top. i spray enough to get rid of it and spray the whole entire thing. then i fan really good.
my question is should i keep fighting the cobwebs? someone actualy told me that their large tubs always get cob web mold also. they recommended i take the hpoo out and put it into 2 smaller containers. whats the best solution so i can continue with this project?

That's the problem with peroxide.

If you don't have a replacement ready then I would keep fighting it, but you should have a replacement on the way in case you lose.

I would increase the peroxide strength, reduce humidity or casing layer moisture content, and increase FAE.
Others know more about this though, so I would see what they have to say.

thanks for the reply. hope i can get some more feedback. i wana be able to finish that tub. im not sure what i should do. the person that recommended i switch to diff tubs swears it worked for him. maybe i should give it a try? im gona wait it out for another day. see if the mold comes back or not.
also is there any permanent side effects to the peroxide/water? will it completely stop growth forever if used too much?

The 3% peroxide available at drug and grocery stores in the US will kill cobweb mold on contact. Use it right from the bottle in your mister. Do not dilute.
Remember, cobweb spreads by breaking off mycelial fragments and sending them flying in the air. It's important to spray down the entire surface when combatting cobweb mold, not just the actual mold itself. The peroxide won't hurt your mycelium as much as the cobweb will, so use it twice a day until the cobweb is gone.
Increase air exchange even if it means leaving the tub open for a few days. Cobweb needs stale air to grow.
Don't change tubs. The size of the tub has nothing to do with whether or not cobweb mold grows. Good luck. RR
