The most powerful force

...in the universe is the ability to act. No other thing can influence the dream more than actions taken.
-------------------- "A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That's control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That's abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

Perhaps we can find the 'will' there somewhere, too. Perhaps as transcendental form of the 'act' ?

Could you explain that sir? I don't see how it applies to a real scenario.
I can see how it might be more valuable to one's self. But it seems that to the world, at least if we are talking about the dualistic world, then it would be wise to help others with your understanding, through compassion.

...in the universe is the ability to act. No other thing can influence the dream more than actions taken.
The "ability to act" is potential energy, or things not done.
"Actions taken" is the result of kinetic energy, or things already done.
They are different things and yet you are attempting to use them in the same context.
What do you mean by "the dream"?

"Potential energy" boils down to the fact that we have a choice to tap into that energy. "Actions taken" is the point in time after we have used the ability of choice to exercise that potential energy.

the impulse to act is a given. people nations constantly fall into traps due to the impulse to act.
cultivating restraint from action becomes a greater power than action.
it is an important paradox, and not a simple thing to apply in life

Perhaps it depends on how broad our understanding of "action" is allowed to become.
Quote:
med·i·ta·tion 1. The act or process of meditating. 2. A devotional exercise of or leading to contemplation.
The choice to remain still, observe and quiet our thoughts, control and pattern our breathing, is a deliberate action.

"understanding and keeping still is more valuable than action"
Understanding and keeping still is a form of action.

Why "damn it"? I choose to "rejoice in it".

Potential energy means little in terms of actualization, other than maybe. People in general are a vast pool of unrealized potential and full of excuses made for actions not taken. Most people have all kinds of choices that they don't take.
What does choice have to do with action??
