That'd probably be around 5th+ new species of active mushrooms that Shroomery members have found. mjshroomer, lizard king, shroomydan, and myself have found new active species. A few members have discovered 2+ species.

Hah, if Guzman says mine is a new species, I'll request that it be named Psilocybe shroomerii.

Hah, what would even be the correct Latin form of Shroomery to name a mushroom species after?

That ring like veil remnant seems to be a very inconsistent feature with them. After picking them by the 100s, it seems like only a few in the whole batch will have it. Maybe it was not noticed previously since it is typically just not there. I have a pic of some with those remnants on the stems.

I doubt that they all develop it and that it falls off.. it seems more like many specimens just don't have them at all.
I have a shit load of pictures of them here. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/usergallery.php/gallery/124/imgpl/3/imgpp/12/folder//screen/3
