*Mycobag Grow Log/Suggestions*

***If anyone can, or wants to, feel free to move this to the Grow log section.
So theres white fuzzy mycelium starting to form on the tops of my Mycobagt grain cakes. What should I do now? Do I cut the bags and put them in a rubbermaid box and spray seom water on them?
Do I just leave them in the bags??
Theres seriously little to no help on the actually growing process and procedure of Mycobags, because everyone says they are self explanitory, well I need help.

wait untill the bag is colonized fully with 100% white healthy mycelium (ie the whole block is covered in white). from there you can induce fruiting by lowering the temps down to room temp (~75) and exposing to light. or you can birth the colonized cake and case it with a casing mix or add it to some bulk substrate (hpoo) and do it that way.
you have much to search and read.

you will want to break up the bag again when the white mycelium is covering about 20%.

Just broke up again, they look about 20-35% covered with SOLID white fuzz. Should I open the bag and FC it ? or just keep in the bag and put it by the window and let the shrooms grow inside. Both mycobags are sitting in my closet in a cardboard box. I am contemplating putting a heating pad underneath.
This is my first grow and am not concerned with yeild as much as quailty.
I have 2 bags, 1 with PES Hawaiian and 1 with Penis Envy, both bags have a full syringe of spores in them. Just so you guys know.

Also, This is the first time Ive looked at them since I inoculated at about 75F, no more than 16 days ago.
Full syringe of certain strain per mycobag.
I wanted to somewhat ensure, if I followed steps, I would get the mush! ( my reasoning for using an entire syringe per bag)

You dont think that the sides of the bag being close to the substrate would reduce yeild alot do you? I mean, I think the mush would just push out the bag and grow outwards.

Uncased grains are poor fruiters. You'll want to add 1/2 inch or so of casing material to the top of the grains when it reaches full colonization. Read up on casing. I recommend 50/50 peat-verm. Cut the top half of the bag off just at the level of the top of your casing layer and place in a fruiting chamber. If you don't have one, just cut a few slits in the top half of the bag for air exchange and use the bag for its own fruiting chamber. RR

I use no more than 1cc per large bag, the results are roughly the same, break those guys up a bit and mix the mycelium around a little so the bottom colonizes

I gently played with it, I didnt want to push on it too hard because I didnt want to kill the mycelium just made sure the bag wasnt sticking to the substrate.

you wont hurt it unless theres a bacterial contam developing from excess water, it's kinda what the bottoms remind me of but unless theres a lot of water pooling in the bottom of the bags, I usualy mash mine pretty good and shake the shit out of them, they always recover in a couple days.

Does the growth of Mycelium have any indication on how the actual psilocybin will grow? My mycelium is growing fast and THICK. alot thicker than most pics Ive seen. Maybe it has only to do with the amount of spores I injected?

So basically, if theres no water build up on the bottom, I should mash it around like I was trying to break up mj in a bag? like for real, MASH up the mycelium with the grains?

yours does look great, very healthy and probably a fast fruiter, I'm sure the volume of spores played a big role but the excess of water may also pose a problem
a suggestion for the next time you want to use the whole syringe, shake the syringe well, stand the syringe on the plunger for a couple hours, flame the needle and push out some of the water... it's better in the long run

Thats exactly what I did except expunge some water. I am a diabetic, so I am use to having syringes around, and I need to mix my insulin, and it goes over better when the insulin is very mixed in the syringe.
Read a few more posts and someones bag was looking like mine and they said they wishes they would of mixed and mashed the bag up, so I did.
I completely broke up and mixed the mycelium in the grains. It was kind of tough.almost like a soft chocloate, but it wandered it was into the grain quite nice. Theres not TOOOOO much excess water, I see no wetness on the bag, only the grains look like soft and wet.
Did I do right by mixing up the mycelium growth into the grains? Crumbling it into the cake?
Also, in order for it to fruit, I need to either obviously stick it in a Fruiting Chamber ontop some perlite...
Or I can just cut some slits in the top of the bag, and leave them in indirect sunlight. Should I use my heating pad at all? They have been seeming to grow FINE without it, as far as developing mycelium.

I dont eat fungus often in the least. I ate an 8th about a month ago, on any given year, I eat about 1/8th - 1/4oz a year. The only things that fuck with my diabetes is Sugar, and the lack of. I dont get ALL FUCKED UP ON SHROOOOMS GUYS, Im a responsible user of a fungus I consider sacred as FUCK. I personally dont think if people want to "get fucked up" they should take ecstasy, cocaine, or pharmaceuticals.
I only ingest in naturally occuring substances. M.J. and P.C. And maybe if my bones/body is in an abnormal state of pain, Vicodin ES 750mg does the trick for me.

Im not 16 anymore, Im done trying to down 3/4 oz of commercial mush, along with some cid, and E pills.
Ive had my party time, and the time to party is over, All im trying to do is enjoy my life with my girl, and just live happy.
I personally dont see how I could grab more than 1 ounce dry off both these mycobags. I know next to nothing about Mycelium and Psilocybin growth.
