So.... a little baggie of mushrooms just went through the wash...on the cold cycle...with detergent...
Does anyone know if we can save these?? My boyfriends said he checked his pockets and doesnt know how they even got in there...andsince they were in like a normal sandwich baggie and not even a ziploc or anything... Can we save our mushrooms??

If there was detergent present, I wouldn't eat them... Sorry about your luck!
-------------------- I believe with the advent of acid we discovered new way to think and it had to do with piecing together new thoughts of mind. Why is it that people think it's so evil? What is it about it that there is scares people so deeply? Because they are afraid that there is more to reality than they have ever confronted. That there are doors that they're afraid to go in and they don't want us to go in there either because if we go in, there we might learn something that they don't know. And that makes us a little out of their control.

Would you want to eat food that went through the wash? Probably not. Would you want to eat mushrooms that went through the wash? Probably not.

well if the actives in mushrooms are water soluable, i don't think there's much hope for this situation even if you DID decide to consume them. all around i give the idea of eating those mushrooms a big NO. sorry for your misfortune don't feel bad, i've let various substances go to waste in the wash before. i'm sure many shroomerites have..just gotta check every pocket carefully beforehand
