ok i just got some Brazilian spores. this is my second time trying my first try was unsuccessful with the whole syringe, so this time I'm going to do it right. now heres the thing i have 2 choices my bedroom or the bathroom. with the bathroom there is a constant fan sucking the air out, and i have heard its better to do inoculation in still air now in my bedroom this can be done but the bathroom is smaller. any suggestions on where i should do it. take in mind that my bedroom is my bedroom so i have clothes sheets etc. in the bathroom there is only a towel and misc odds and ends.
thanks in advance.

Which Tek are you using?
If you do not have a glovebox or an oven to use while inoculating, then the bathroom would work better. You have to sterilize everything in it if you want to be safe.

i just clean the area i work in. pretty much just scrub the tables or counters i have my equipment on. then i spray the whole room with ozium and some other things that reduce airborne bacteria. i read up on agars open air method. ive only seen one contam and it was in a 1/2 pint jar that took 3 weeks to colonize and never finished. it was all orange in the areas that didnt colonize lol.

With those two choices, I'd go with the bathroom. Clean it very well first, then spray with oust to knock back airborn bacteria. Flame sterilize your needle between each jar. There is no real need to let the needle cool down because the first few drops will do that, allowing the rest to flow contamiant free.
Keep the vent fan off, and perhaps even lay a towel down by the gap under the door. You want very still air. Wear latex gloves if you have them. RR

yep i have thin latex gloves and breathing masks, i also have some alcohol pads that i can wipe the needle with after i burn the tip but the problem with the bathroom is that the air vent is constant i cant shut it off without the lights being off. thats why im having this problem.
thanks again everyone.
