Well i went hunting this morning at a local park along the bike trails in the woods and found several mushrooms and fungi none of which were active though. I'll post the pics for the hell of it and if you want you can go ahead and identify them.

I like this one because it looks like it's smiling at me.

Very nice pictures and finds.
I would like to see the gills and stem in more detail on picture #1.
Same goes for 2,3,4, and 5.
Some possibilities for the green-blue one (5th one down) would include Lactarius, Russula, and Stropharia. I don't think it is an active, as those genera that I mentioned can have similar looking colored caps. I would have to see the gills to be able to place that one into a genus.

I think number 1 is just some type of fungi, not a shroom as it had no gills. The 5th one had white gills that were rather straight and not running into each other.
For now i've gotta go trip my nuts off since i bought 42 grams of dried weilii today (17 grams are mine to keep)...shroom on

#1 is likely a Polypore, a mushroom that has pores instead of gills. There are other types, including tooth like extensions on the underside of some mushrooms caps instead of gills. Here is a picture of the underside of a polypore.

Good call eris. The green stropharia is high up on my list of mushrooms I'd like to find. The missing chunk in the cap looks to reveal white gills though, which may suggest Russula.
Nice pics
