Pet stores carry them sometimes, also if you go to walmart in the houswares section and look well, youll find "Flavor injectors"Theese are large syringes with 14-16 guage needles, usually at least 1 1/2 inch long that will work ok.The problem is they are about $3 a pop,but they do work. As far as strains, well it sounds like its your first grow,so you should stick to a tried and true strain, although most work well on BRF,some of the classics like B+,Equador,Cambodian, and Golden Teacher work well for for beginers, because they are fairly contam resistant, grow quickly, and produce good yields with quality fruits. Good Luck

I am new to this but I have had success with b+ 50%. But I have gotten thai koh samui super strain and that gave me 100% on brf. also I have started to inoculate my jars while they are still in the pressure cooker, I pre heat my oven to 200c and pull the rack out the hot air coming out greatly reduces contams. medical suppy stores alway have syringes. Hope this helps

Treasure Coast is a slow colonizer IMO. Here is another tip to help your jar colonize alittle quicker replace a 1/4 of the water in the recipe with coffee and it will help on the speeds. z-strain is a really agressive colonizer and goes from inoculation to fruit very quickly. G.T. is also a great one for beginners, colonizes fairly fast and fruits pretty easy as well.
